“To me animals
reflect through their eyes the person we wish we could be.”
Growing up in Dallas, Texas Tisha was exposed
to all sorts of art. She had an
early calling in the theatre first as an actor and later as a stage
manager. Tisha attended the Arts Magnet High School in Dallas and has a BFA in Technical Theatre and Stage Management
from the Conservatory of Theatre Arts at Webster University.

Tisha began to focus on painting animals in 1999, around the time that she got pregnant with her first child. A move in 2000 brought her family to Wisconsin. She lives and paints in her home outside of Madison, Wisconsin. She has a husband she met doing summer stock theatre and they have two daughters. They share their home with a Boston Terrier and a retired Greyhound adopted from Greyhound Pets of America Wisconsin.

"Despite all the art classes I have taken and all the paintings I have done, I will probably never stop mixing paint on my hands."
